At times there may only be one Titan in an area, while other areas may have a handful. Combat is quick and very fast-paced, but also requires precision in order to take down Titans. It is really one of the game’s more impressive features. The controls feel a bit intimidating at first, but after a couple of minutes you realise just how amazing the controls are and in no time you are blasting through the areas. At times it feels like I am playing an incredibly responsive Spiderman game as I use my gear to maneuver around the world while boosting through buildings and trees. The gameplay is intuitive and extremely fun, I have not had this much fun moving around a game world in a very long time. Cut scenes add to the story elements and look great, but there are also times where speaking to NPC characters will reveal more about the story and the characters. Depending on the difficulty, it could take anywhere from about 10-12 hours to complete. All the essential plot points and events seem to be covered in a rather lengthy campaign. Many characters from the anime are present and some even get a bit more screen time due to them being playable characters. The story mode will be nothing new for those familiar with the Anime or Manga of the series, it follows the same story and doesn’t deviate too much from things. In a way Attack on Titan has a look and feel of a Musou game, but is quite different from the gameplay side of things.Īttack on Titan feels like no other game I have played Those games where it is you against hundreds of enemies on screen that pose very little threat to you and are basically just there as cannon fodder for you to pull off insane attacks, watching them fly across your screen. Omega Force are mostly known for their Musou-style games. Attack on Titan feels like no other game I have played, it feels almost like a mixture of games that haven’t been mixed before due to this, it comes across as something fresh and extremely fun.
